MOON DUO | Variable Etchings
7 black etchings, individually printed on an intaglio press from 2 & 3 cm copper plates.
METHOD
Intaglio describes any printmaking technique in which the image is produced by incising into the printing plate –the incised line or area holds the ink and creates the image. Punctured Artefact works across all intaglio techniques. Including; etching, engraving, drypoint & collagraph. Each piece is crafted by hand, from initial sketch to hand pulling each print through the etching press.
THE PRINT
TITLE : Moon Duo
METHOD: Copper Etching with Aquatint. With Hand Cut Plates.
EDITION SIZE : VE of 7 prints
ART (PLATE SIZE): 2cm & 3cm.
PAPER: Hahnemuhle Etching, Natural. 7 x 10 cm. 4 deckle edges.
INK: Strong & Soft Black Etching Ink.
VARIABLE: Each print slightly varies, as they are printed individually by hand.
MOUNT: None. This print would look great with the deckle edges on show. A mount can be supplied upon request.
