HANDMADE WITH LOVE

Intaglio etching is a labour intensive printmaking technique that involves incising a design onto a copper plate. The plate is then inked. The ink is then drawn from the incised lines, onto dampened paper, using an etching press.

These highly detailed, intricate plates ensure each print is unique, making every piece a true one-of-a-kind etching.

I print in small editions, keeping the work precious and limited.

ART NOTES

The piece features a winter hellebore in our signature drawing style.
Each etching is signed & numbered on the front by the artist, in pencil.

TECHNIQUE

Chine collé is a printmaking technique that involves bonding a thin layer of paper to a thicker support paper. The image is then printed onto the thin layer of paper.

Experimental Etching Prints, with Black Ink on various papers, embellished with Japanese Gampi Paper, using the Chine Colle technique. Papers include, Okuwara Select, Hosho Select, Kitakata Green.
