The design features a little Athena Owl, with a moon. The circles and lines are the compound for salt.
In Greek mythology, a little owl (Athene Noctua) traditionally represents or accompanies Athena, the Greek goddess of war & wisdom. Sodium chloride (salt) has often been used to represent wisdom, E.g. in the Bible, salt also came to symbolise purity, perfection, wisdom, hospitality, durability, and fidelity.
